The Hidden Temples

Yogyakarta turns to have other temples of which enchantment is not less interesting than Borobudur and Prambanan temples; two temples that are most often visited by far. For the reason, Tour de Djokdja this edition takes the theme of "The Hidden Temples" to invite you to visit and know them from closer distance.

Ijo (in Javanese language, this word means 'Green') temple is a temple located at the highest place in Yogyakarta that presents natural and cultural enchantment with additional view of taking off and landing airplane. Tara Temple, the Oldest Buddhism Inheritance in Yogyakarta
Tara Temple is a temple presented for goddess Tara of which external wall is coated with typical cement. This oldest Buddhism temple in Yogyakarta was built by Rakai Panangkaran, the king of Syailendra dynasty who also conceptualized the construction of Borobudur Temple.

Plaosan Temple, the Twin Temple in Yogyakarta
Plaosan temple that was built by Rakai Pikatan has some uniqueness compared to other temples, namely its twin main temple and the terrace with smooth surface. In this temple, there are Vajrapani, Amitbha, and Prajnaparamitha figures.
